UnMute works with your voice, which is personal. So this page is specific about what is collected, where it lives, and how you remove it.

What we collect

• Your email, to sign you in with a one time code. No passwords are ever stored.
• Your voice, while you practice. Each take is transcribed and analysed so the app can respond to what you actually said.
• Your practice state. Your level on each passage, your drawer of kept lines, your settings. This is backed up to our server so your practice follows you across devices.
• Usage events, such as which room was entered and whether a session completed. These carry no recording content.

Where your voice goes

Recordings you choose to keep are stored in your browser and, when saved, on our server, and you can play or delete them at any time. Speech is transcribed by Deepgram. Spoken lines from the app are synthesised by ElevenLabs, with Cartesia as fallback. Observations and generated replies are produced by Anthropic's Claude. Sign in codes are delivered by Resend. Each processor receives only what its task needs. We do not use your voice to train models, we do not sell any of your data, and there is no advertising of any kind.

The Rehearsal Room promise

Material you bring for a real event is encrypted before it is stored (AES-256-GCM). Erasing a talk is a hard erase: the content is destroyed, not flagged as deleted.

Your controls

• Delete any recording, or all of them, from settings.
• Choose at first close whether recordings are kept at all.
• Erase any rehearsal talk without trace.
• Remove any kept line from your drawer.
• Delete your whole account from settings. One tap, two confirmations, and the server forgets you: recordings, practice state, rehearsal talks, and the account itself. If anything ever fails, write to hello@iamunmute.com and a human will finish it.

Cookies

UnMute uses browser storage on your device to remember your practice. There are no tracking cookies and no third party analytics scripts.

Retention

Recordings and practice state are kept while your account is active. Delete something and it is gone from the app; server copies are removed on account deletion.
